I thought the Filipino people clamored for change in it's political scene. Heck, they were preaching it for years now. So why in the blue hell did they still vote most of the same faces in the recently concluded Philippine Elections. Top 10/12 of the current Senatoriables (as of this writing) are all re-electionists and the remaining two "new" ones who got in are offsprings of former politicians as well.
Political family dynasties are also winning left and right for local positions.
What's most surprising to me though, is that even the current second placer vying for the highest position in the land is held by a former president who was convicted for plunder. *facepalm*
